Little Big Town is set to Ride For A Cure on Sunday, June
14, 2009 benefiting the T.J. Martell Foundation.
The event,
presented by Roberts and Lyons, marks the third year of Little Big Town’s involvement that features a motorcycle ride
from the Harley-Davidson of Cool Springs to the Harley-Davidson of Columbia, a barbecue lunch provided by Applebee’s
and a post ride performance by Little Big Town and friends.
“We
are thrilled to be part of this wonderful event to help raise funds for the T.J. Martell Foundation,” said Karen Fairchild
of Little Big Town. “Our goal is for people to attend, have some fun and feel part of this special cause that is
working to find a cure for cancer.”

Lonestar will kick off the CMA Music Festival
June 8 with the fifth annual “Lonestar & Friends Strike Out For The
Kids,” at Hermitage Lanes. The sold out strike-and-spare bowling
party where fans bowl alongside their favorite artists will raise money and awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research
Hospital®, one of the world’s premier centers for the
research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
Celebrities
like Chris Young, Buddy Jewell, Trent Tomlinson and Bo Bice will join Lonestar and host bowling lanes for the party, which
is sponsored by Great American Country. Three lucky fans’ names will be drawn to bowl a game with each artist. In
addition, a silent auction will be held throughout the evening featuring unique items from some of country music’s biggest
stars, including custom-made bowling shirts autographed by each attending celebrity.
Net
proceeds will benefit the groundbreaking research and lifesaving care at St. Jude.
In
2009, the Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® program celebrates
20 years of supporting the mission of St. Jude. The radio fundraising program began in 1989 after Randy Owen, lead singer
of the music group ALABAMA, met St. Jude founder Danny Thomas. Since its inception, Country Cares has grown to be one
of the most successful radio fundraising events in the nation with more than 200 radio station partners raising more than
$345 million in pledges.
