Blue Highway is Looking "Through The Window Of A Train"

Eliza D.

A+

I finally got a chance to listen to Blue Highway's new CD, "Through The Window Of A Train".  My favorite song on the entire album would have to be "Homeless Man."  Its heartbreaking lyrics brought me to tears.  "Two Soldiers" is also a song that speaks of death, though has a slightly different tone.  The drums really added a haunting tone to this song but I think the dobro almost overpowered them since it seemed more joyful than mournful.

Each musician's talents really shine through on "The North Cove."

My Top 7 Songs:

1) "Homeless Man"

2) "Through The Window Of A Train"

3) "V Bottom Boat" (love the harmonies!)

4) "A Week From Today"

5) "Two Soldiers"

6) "Sycamore Man"

7) "My Ropin' Days Are Done" (a sweet waltz)

Blue Highway's new album is a powerful entry into the land of bluegrass music.  There isn't a substandard tune on the entire album.  Go pick up a copy today--you won't regret it!
